Manage computer systems security for a large, accredited, computer network encompassing Microsoft Windows & VMware machines. Provided confidentiality, integrity, and availability in accordance with Defense Information Technology Security Certification and Approval Process (DITSCAP) in support of the Command's Army Information Assurance Program (AIAP) and Information Assurance Vulnerability Management Program (IAVMP). Review threats and vulnerabilities to Information Systems and Network security systems as well as established implementation to identify and analyzes deficiencies and provide oversight to ensure compliance with requirements existing and planned automation initiatives of higher headquarters for the proper integration into the DOD network and implement appropriate countermeasures and protection measures such as file access controls, software and physical safeguards from damage, destruction, alteration or misappropriation.
Develop policies and procedures to build expertise in program and technical areas, and communicate that expertise across organizational boundaries to work teams and parties outside of the organization. Tested and analyzed computer equipment and conducted risk analysis, recommended actions for leadership to manage risk at an acceptable level and improve overall Information Assurance posture.
