Nanny Manager

As the family's Nanny Manager, my main responsibility has been caring for two school aged children. I am responsible to assure both children maintain a positive daily routine, while encouraging a positive, safe and loving environment. I schedule all dental and doctor appointments, as well as assure they are seen as scheduled. I coordinate play dates, after school activities, and occasional weekend activities. I assist with all homework, studying, as well as encourage extra reading time.
Along with being a Nanny Manager, I am also responsible to help maintain household activities. I assist in overseeing the work of various contractors, such as landscaping, pool, and home repairs. I accept and accomplish all given assignments such as dry cleaning, grocery shopping, and shopping for needed personal items for both children and home.

Substitute Teacher

As a Substitute Teacher, I instructed children from elementary through high school. I followed through all provided lesson plans, as well as engaging in positive classroom discussion and teaching. I have significant experience working with children with disablities, both learning and physical. Also, I was able to substitue in the ESL program for students ranging from pre-school through fourth grade.

Assistant Teacher: Special Education

As a special need's assistant, I worked in a self-contained class for children with autism. The students varied in grades from kindergarten through fourth grade. While there, I helped maintain a critical schedule that each student had been given as an individual eduactional plan. Some of the students were non-verbal, thus I helped implement a sucessful program using pictures to communicate, called PECS (Picture Exchange Commnication System). Most of the students had various issues such as critical health issues, anger and violence issues, hypersensitivity, speech impairment, and significant problems socializing and maintaining relationships.
