DesignedWORK - providing technology transfer for the Humaneering Technology Initiative
September 2002 — Present
DesignedWORK was founded in 2002 to support development of an integrated applied human science (humaneering), which aggregates and synthesizes science-based knowledge from all relevant science disciplines into a powerful transdisciplinary approach to the design of work systems that maximize the results achieved by people.
Between 2005 and 2009, DesignedWORK provided consulting support to companies hosting the nonprofit Humaneering Institute's field trials of humaneering (in alpha release). This support continued through private-beta release beginning in 2009. In 2013, the nonprofit Humaneering Institute outsourced the technology transfer function for humaneering's work design protocol to DesignedWORK.
DesignedWORK's Consulting services utilize a systemic approach for improving the engagement, productivity and retention of knowledge workers. We resolve workforce problems and install more effective ways to manage large-scale people-dependent operations. DesignedWORK is able to leverage big improvements from small systemic changes, frequently creating competitive advantage in key performance metrics.
