The Cutting Edge
March 2011 — October 2013
Our shop had what we referred to as a static shift meaning everyone in the shop was able to run any machine. During my time working here I learned to run CNC lathes, mills and automated Fuji's all using Mazak control panels and programming. My primary experience was with vertical HAAS Mills which I operated daily for for 2 years. I was taught to how to change tools, make offsets, and occasionally make program changes when needed. Our company had what I considered to be fairly strict tolerances ranging from a few thousandths down to a few tenths depending on the customers specifications.
