Performs moderately complex general human resource duties in support of either a service center or human resource department enviroment. Collects data and prepares related personnel statistics and reports. Point of contact for HR and employees on STD and FMLA claims, questions, and process. Processes employee claims on an ongoing basis for Short Term Disability and Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA). Prepares and maintains appropriate files. Provide accurate information to employees and management for benefit programs, as they relate to Short Term Disability and Family Medical Leave. Provides accurate and timely written and verbal communications as well as routinely communicates to payroll. Identifies issues and concerns as they arise and brings forward to Leave Management Lead or Manager to develop a plan for resolution. Communicates effectively and maintains professional working relationships within Human Resources, Payroll, Corporate Benefits, Legal and other third-party. Maintains a solid working knowledge of the Family Medical Leave Act. Keeps updated on current industry practices, developments, and government guidelines pertaining to FMLA and other legal issues related to employee leave provisions. Serves as a Continuous improvement (CI) champion responsible for driving CI throughout daily activities. Serves as back up for other Leave Management Representatives on an as-needed basis. Supports /Assists with timely problem resolution. Coordinates and assists with changes to training materials and documentation related to Leave Management.
