As a financial analyst with the Center for Clinical Research (CCR), a division of the CHI Institute for Research and Innovation (CIRI), I perform a variety of functions, including:

 Member of financial assessment and integration team for onboarding Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) hospitals on to the CHI Institute for Research & Innovation (CIRI) clinical trial management model, focusing on the integration of the hospital revenue cycle with the CIRI model and integration of the hospital research cost center with CIRI’s national cost center.
 Partner with CHI Senior Vice President of Revenue Cycle and CHI’s Billing Group (Conifer) as the CIRI Project Lead to design and implement a standardized research billing compliance process for the CHI network of hospitals.
 Assist CHI hospitals with troubleshooting research billing issues.
 Work with Conifer, CHI Hospital Accounting Departments and CHI Hospital Research Departments to ensure research charges covered by the research sponsor or grant are properly billed to CIRI, the research sponsor or the appropriate third party.
 Ensure that all clinical trial transactions are properly captured in the Clinical Trials Management System (CTMS).
 Ensure that all clinical trial transactions captured in the CTMS are properly recorded and reported in the Lawson General Ledger and Lawson Grants systems in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
 Work with CIRI Director of Finance to design and implement month-end close process.
 Develop and refine financial policies and procedures.
 Assist with research billing compliance reviews and audits.
 Perform clinical trial close out reconciliations and audits.
