College Grad Correspondent

I write a monthly column about post-grad life and the anxiety and emotions that come after that diploma finally arrives in the mail. I tend to focus on how the post-grad tradition of interning and traveling can create a distinct, but always interesting, experience among millennials.

I work as a member of the Metro news team, helping to cover stories in Kansas and Missouri. I focus on enterprise stories, front page features and community news.

In my time at the University of Missouri I worked and freelanced for a number of publications, including The Riverfront Times. While earning dual degrees in History and Journalism, I also worked as a teaching assistant at the Missouri School of Journalism. In May of 2015, I graduated cum laude from the Missouri School of Journalism and also received a Bachelor of Arts in History from the College of Arts and Sciences.

I worked as a reporter for the Metro section while also covering a crime shift on Saturday nights and pursuing a variety of breaking news and long term assignments. Wrote front page centerpiece stories and helped paper with coverage of the College World Series.

The Roanoke Times

Reporting Intern

I worked as a reporter for the Metro section with a focus on community news, government and features. I wrote two Sunday front page centerpiece stories and had a story picked up by the Associated Press.
