Brava! for Women in the Arts owns and operates the Brava Theater Center in San Francisco's Mission District. Brava! is dedicated to redefining the American stage by focusing on new theater works by women, people of color, and youth. Brava's mission has always been two-fold: to give voice to the unspoken realities of women’s lives through the creation of new theater works with a national impact; and to improve the quality of life in San Francisco’s Mission District by providing cultural, social, and economic opportunities for its primarily Latino residents, particularly its youth.
