The Holloway Foundation was born in the wake of recovery, not long after the death of our son Ronald Andrew Holloway. Our delivery was scheduled for induction one late night in February 2005.Induction went very wrong and we learned I was induced with a medication that was NOT approved with the FDA for labor induction. However, once a medication has been approved by the FDA a doctor can use it any way he would like WITHOUT telling you (referred to as "Off-Label" prescribing.) The use of this medication, Cytotec, caused placental abrupt, then uterine rupture, and our son was born with Apgarā€™s of 0,0,0,0, & 0. After 30 minutes the team was able to revive Andrew... despite revival, Andrew was pronounced brain dead. Andrew lived for 7 days and passed on February 9, 2005.

Now, the Holloway Foundation works to educate everyone about medical rights and responsibilities, as well as, the effects of Cytotec (misoprostol) for labor induction. We work to save babies BEFORE they are born! Patients must understand they cannot have medical rights, without taking responsibility for their own care. Patients must be able provide accurate and complete information regarding their health, including past illnesses, hospitalizations, prescription medications, over-the-counter medications, and any other matters related to their health care status. Once a patient fully understands their responsibility we move into educating them on their medical rights.
