Tipping Point Solutions
June 2009 — Present
Exposing to businesses and communities the profitable, practical, affordable, and enjoyable side of Green Tech.
Green technologies create, use or provide products & practices that are environmentally neutral or beneficial. These green solutions should be the consumer option of choice as apposed to those that rely on dirty, wasteful or destructive practices. Green products and practices contribute to a sustainable earth and, if we do this right, will reserve fossil fuels for what I refer to as a catalyst energy.
In the past, the adoption of green technology or practices forced consumers to make a choice between doing something good for the environment and either cost or convenience. That is; Green power costing more, recycling taking time, or a different or inferior quality issue, e.g. recycled paper stock.
But recent developments in green technologies have changed the equation. Saving the earth can actually save time and money and therefore needn't add to cost or complexity.
Personal prediction; 30 years ago we watched a major game-change in the telecom industry that would lead to lower communications prices while creating more jobs in a single decade than ever thought possible. This also lead to an explosion of new opportunities as the telecom industry revenue shifted toward local communities. Well, history is repeating itself in the energy industry as you read this. My attention is on ensuring that this revenue shift is put to good use supporting the growth of local green energy technologies all across our country creating new clean well paying jobs.
