As a QA designer, I’m in charge of performing the analysis of the different company’s projects to identify the test cases required to guarantee that each project requirement has been fulfilled, and that it is safe to pass it into production environment; this activity it's done by designing the test cases and scenarios that will be performed by the QA team.
A great part of my activities consists on the analisys of the client requirements and the reviewing of the company project’s documentation; generating work plans, designing solutions, giving support to the QA team and providers.
I’m also responsible for the administration of the QA and development servers, performing activities like user administration, file system creation, BMC RMY installation, ORACLE database problem analysis, perform basic DBA activities, task automation using SHELL scripts, backup plan definition, defining plans for OS and DB patches, managing and monitoring Solaris OS (filesystems, Memory, IPCS, Proceses, Users, etc.), ORACLE DB, BMC REMEDY, BMC Control M, VERIFONE CMS PAYWARE, etc.
Currently I am also working in the definition of the new QA standards, process and job descriptions in order to be a more competitive area providing a time reduction for the testing requirements, but at the same time increasing the quality of the products, this by implementing industry's best practices and new tools such as "HP's Quality Center" and "HP's FORTIFY".
