Security Shift Supervisor

•Manage a team of two to four Officers per shift; more if volume of incidents requires.
•Create/maintain competency tasks.
•Create/maintain programs to improve the business process within the facility.
•Update/maintain Facility Orders.
•Update/maintain Emergency Preparedness Procedures.
•Monitor CCTV system.
•Monitor badge access system.
•Monitor, test, and respond to panic/duress alarms.
•Screen visitors/patients via metal detector and wand.
•Provide directions/escorts patients/visitors from one area to another.
•Assist medical staff with ensuring the safety of patients that are on a mental health hold, are intoxicated, or otherwise altered mental status.
•Work closely with various police departments: patients brought in for mental health/intoxication reasons, trespassers, suspicious incidents/persons, various internal/external disaster situations (please inquire for further detail), forensic patients, etc.
•Keep staff safe from violent patients or visitors.
•Patrol the facility grounds; interior and exterior.
•Inventory patient valuables/belongings and secure them in safe/locker.
•Incident report writing.
