Assistant Equipment Manager

Manage all activities for the following sports: Men’s & Women’s Track, Men’s & Women’s Cross Country, Women’s Basketball, Women’s Golf, and Volleyball. Will be responsible for these sports but equal effort is expected for all sports. Job duties related to equipment processes including purchasing, storing, tracking inventory, distributing, collecting, maintaining, fitting, laundering, repairing and issuing athletic team equipment. Is the liaison with equipment manufacturers, coaches and student-athletes in selection of sports equipment, shoes and apparel. Coordinate the preparation of setup for practices and home competitive events and equipment transportation to away events. Supervise student equipment managers. Coordinate with coaches to maintain a pool of basic equipment and supplies. Ensure security of equipment facilities and athletic equipment. Ensure that personnel are supervised and informed of and adhere to established health and safety practices associated with assigned tasks. Maintain computerized inventory of athletic equipment. Travel with sports teams on an as needed basis.
