Currently Live & Work in RVA...

I love my city-- artsy, vibrant, edgy, delicious. It's where I grew up and went to school, where I formed my dearest friendships. But my heart is forever in NYC. I'm the daughter of two born-and-bred transplanted New Yorkers, and it has always felt like home. I always knew that one day I'd make it official.

... but My Heart Belongs to NYC.

More true than ever in the past year, when the Virginia boy I met and fell in love with moved to NYC last summer to pursue his dreams. He is my hero and my champion, my favorite Human of New York. My heart is ever there by his side (and the rest of me, as often as possible, until I can join him for good.)

Assistant Director of Student Recruitment

Spent eight amazing years crisscrossing the country recruiting out of state students for my alma mater. My travels took me from the familiar mid-Atlantic and Northeastern U.S. all the way to the Pacific Northwest, Northern California and the Bay Area, then on to Southern California, Central Texas, South Florida and back east throughout New England and the Tri-State. I was the face of VCU to the outside world, and I grew our enrollment steadily, establishing new recruitment territories and cultivating relationships throughout my travels, making many new friends along the way. (and racking up an impressive amount of hotel points and frequent flier miles!)

BA, English/Journalism/Italian

Buried in endless piles of books and furiously scribbling notebooks full of ideas 24/7 as an English major and journalism minor at VCU = my idea of heaven. The incredible people I met throughout those four years challenged and inspired me to find my passion and true self. I started studying Italian in my second year, and studied abroad in Perugia, Italy the summer before my fourth year. In my final semester I landed a coveted spot (never before granted to a non-journalism major) covering the Virginia General Assembly's legislative session as a political correspondent for several out of town affiliates, and published my first front page piece on the Governor's "State of the Commonwealth" Address. Graduated magna cum laude later that spring, and, after a few part time stints post graduation working as an editorial intern and study abroad program assistant for my former Italian professor, I began working full time for my alma mater.
