Accessory Remix began as a specialty jewelry with original pieces created by myself and a small team. The company later became a Workshop and birthday party driven company where I schedule myself and other designers and people in the creative arts to teach their craft.

Involvement on all special projects, orchestration of hair accessories and belts, altering and designing jewelry using Adobe Photoshop, manipulating and fixing jewelry, sending samples to buyers, scanning and entering new items into the system, organizing samples by itemized numbers.

The company manufactures and markets seasonal collections of knit and woven sportswear, coats, outerwear, suits and dresses in misses’, petites’ and women’s sizes throughout North and South America. The company’s roster of major retailers includes Nordstrom, Bloomingdale’s, Saks Inc. (Parisian), Lord & Taylor, Dillard’s, Marshall Field’s and Belk Stores. Harvé Benard apparel is also featured in the following catalogs: Norm Thompson, Lew Magram, Sierra Trading, Boston Proper and Appleseed’s, as well as on Named one of the most widely recognized labels in the U.S. among consumers in a Fairchild 446 study, Harvé Benard apparel can be found at thousands of retailers nationwide. Conceptualize and prepare 4 trend presentations for Spring 2011. Research trends in clothing and jewelry, attend weekly meetings and present the information to the New York Liaison. The presentation included live samples, mocked up photos, trend boards, key words and information. The presentation was given by the liaison to gain a major client. The potential client loved the presentation and started making replenishment orders.

Also choosing the appropriate items and color combinations for the next market, detail the items by beads, findings, clasps, planning and coordinating sampling overseas, develop innovative product solutions. Special project assignments included, Wal-Mart, Kohl’s/ Candies for Kohl’s, Guess, Limited Too and Torrid. Creating planograms for in store use.
Wal-Mart Project: Compete with other accessories companies for wall sales by designing 100 primary pieces and 50 interchangeable. The pieces were a mix of earrings, necklaces, bracelets and rings that were arranged on a replica of Wal-Mart’s Jewelry Wall. The walls had to be wrapped and sent out once a month. The majority of our walls were selected.
Candies for Kohl’s Project: Create a personalized line for Candies that matched the personality of their young celebrity spokesperson. The spokesperson changed from Lindsey Lohan to Hayden Panettierre I was able to keep the line consistent.

Guess Jeans Inc. Project: Special projects for Guess Jeans included working with a higher budget to meet the target cost. This included using higher quality stones, metals and findings.

Limited Too Special Project: Limited Too is a children accessory store. My job consisted of translating new trends into kid friendly jewelry. Shopping the market, developing product, becoming popular with tween pop culture.

Torrid Project: Design a line of jewelry for plus size females. Special Projects included designing the yearly pendant for the Torrid NationWide Mall Contest. Millions of teens would enter the contest either through in store participation or online. Winners were randomly chosen and received a necklace designed by me.
