University of Leipzig, Germany - University of Miami, Florida
Bachelor of Arts, American Studies
Life is too short to do something you're not passionate about.
That's why I decided to graduate in American Studies.
The U.S. American culture has influenced me since I was a little girl - even though I did not travel to the States until my twenties. Books, music, TV shows and movies, food... I'd absorb anything that was made in the USA; eagerly and passionately. That's one of the reasons why by now, I speak English better than my two native tongues German and French.
I chose the Leipzig Model for American Studies because it covers US-American culture, literature, society and politics, and introduces students to the varied academic skills needed to critically engage the many dimensions of the United States and its roles in the world.
I also studied at the University of Miami, Florida, for a semester. I left my heart in Coral Gables.
