I started off as an Optical Advisor in November 2011 in the branch in Swindon. My main roles were to offer excellent customer service to gain sales and to ensure the customer was happy during and after their visit. I was also in control of helping customers choose their glasses, taking measurements and carrying out adjustments to ensure customer's glasses fitted comfortably and correctly. I helped in the day-to-day running of the store by helping with the banking and cashing up, I also helped clean the store and took part in the general administration tasks.
In April 2013, I was promoted in the Swindon branch to a Supervisor position. I worked along side the Manager and learnt more in regards to taking care of staff issues. For example, one of my main roles as Supervisor was to be a note taker and witness during any investigatory interviews and disciplinary hearings. I also took over the day-to-day running of the store when my Manager was out of the business, I had to deal with complaints in a fair and timely manner and I also had to run training meetings once a week.
In November 2013, I was promoted to a Practice Manager in Walton-on-Thames. I moved to the area for the job and my role here is to manage every aspect of the day-to-day running of the store, to ensure all of the staff are happy, and to have to deal with any issues or complaints that may arise.
