Working in a commercial health club of 6000+ members, Pure Gym was my first experience of working in the health and fitness industry. I very quickly became an integral part of the existing team of personal trainers and learned here how to transfer my customer service skills from hospitality to the industry I am passionate about. During my time at Pure Gym, the club was nominated by the members so highly that at the Health Club Awards 2012; Pure Gym Aberdeen was voted second best health club in the whole of the UK and I am exceptionally proud to have been part of that acheivement.

My time at the Albyn saw me move into a stand alone business without brand standards. Working at the Albyn dramatically improved my business acumen and enabled me to have a much more productive role in hospitality. Unlike any other venue in Aberdeen, the Albyn caters for all aspects of leisure time; from the sport dominated times to bespoke dining experiences. Already able to provide excellent customer service, the Albyn is where I really began to excel in my people management; very easily and successfully running the departments for which I was responsible; in which I had 30 people I was directly responsible for.

Working for the branded concept of Nando's I began in Glasgow Springfield Quay; then moving to Aberdeen as part of the pre opening team. Nando's gave me a solid structure in which to begin my hospitality management career. The Aberdeen store was immediately successful; destroying opening targets and consistently exceeding budgets in the months after. My first experience of running a branded outlet, Nando's gave me the vital introduction to quick serve outlets; high volume family trading and business operations.
