• Developed a marketing strategy to promote LexisNexis at university.
• Regularly advise students and staff on the database.
• Organise and run several training and certification sessions throughout the term.

This is the last Ebor Lex Journal that I have helped play a small role in editing as Content Editor. I've also written an article on the need to balance the right to religious freedom in a globalised society on page 11.

Be Heard

Founder

• Volunteering group, currently in the process of being registered as a charity.
• Our short term aim is to build an age-appropriate accessible website to support any young people when their parents separate. We aim to support young people to the age of 21+.
• Our long term aim is to speak in schools about support mechanisms young people can use when their parents separate and how our organisation can support them.

Achievements
• Only organisation established by young people affected by divorce to support other young people whose parents separate.
• Provide support and guidance for young people whose parents separate, signposting to counselling and other support organisations
• Regularly promote my support booklet for young people.
• Supported by social workers and teachers.
• Currently in the process of designing our brand and website.
• Lead a team of eight people, ex volunteers [19-25 years old] from Kids in the Middle.

Feb 2017- Present: I have a mentor from Irwin Mitchell.

Sep 2016- Present: I have a mentor from Mayer Brown. I am able to improve my skills required for commerical law with tailored career guidance.

Apr 2014 – Apr 2016: Participant on Pathways Plus Law. A three-year programme offering academic and careers support focusing on commercial law, including a three-day residential trip to leading City firms [DLA Piper, Linklaters and Hogan Lovells]. Participated in a commerical business exercise, group pitches and a negotiation exercise . Completed a 'mini' vacation scheme at Hogan Lovells and a mentor from DLA Piper.

Aug 2014 – Jan 2015: Participant at Rare Discuss Programme. After a competitive application, I was selected to take part in a training programme sponsored by Allen & Overy, Clifford Chance and Slaughter and May. During group sessions at each firm, I worked on live cases, reviewed contracts and pitched to partners.

Fixers

Fixer

• Produced a booklet providing support for young adults whose parents are in the process of divorcing with the charity, FixersUK.
• Responsibilities included recruiting volunteers to provide their own stories of divorce and planned the graphic design of the booklet, including sourcing appropriate material to include in the booklet.
• Schools, libraries and the NHS nationwide are currently using the booklet.
• The law firm, Mischon de Reya, ordered 100 booklets for their clients.
