Emily Collins

Communications Manager

Washington Square Park Conservancy

Faster than a Vine, funnier than your favorite cat video, passionate about all things social (media, change, justice, good).

Marketing and Communiations Fellow

I was GlobalGiving's resident raconteur. Each day, I shared the inspiring stories of GlobalGiving's nonprofit partners through social media, content marketing, and via email. I was on the front lines of communication; both inbound and outbound. GlobalGiving taught me that I can successfully condense any happening into 140-characters or less.

Digital Content Intern

FoodtoEat gave me the chance to flex my creative muscles in the startup world. I worked alongside the CEO and COO to design social media marketing campaigns, interviewed amazing food truck owners in NYC, and even made cheeky quizzes that reached 100,000+ people. Being at FoodtoEat made me realize how important social media is for brands.

Washington Square Park Conservancy

Communications Manager

At WSPC, I get to manage all communications for one of New York City's most iconic parks, from social media to mailed newsletters to thousands living in the West Village. I work with hundreds of volunteers to help keep Washington Square Park clean, safe, and beautiful. I also spread the word about free events happening throughout the year.

HuskyTHON Dance Marathon

Creative Director

I danced my way (literally) into the world of philanthropy as HuskyTHON's Creative Director. HuskyTHON is an 18-hour student-led fundraising effort for Connecticut Children's Medical Center. In 2013, I was the driving force behind our marketing efforts. I created apparel, flyers, and all branded content. We ended up raising $343,000. All for the kids.
