Project Manager

I'm currently running a project that I started developing a little while ago, shoothere, but was waiting for the right time to launch due to it's scale in terms of time and funding. Shoothere provides children aged between 11 and 14 storytelling and filmmaking training at their schools as well as access to proffesional equipment. After their training, the children are given a regional challenge to test out their new skills alongside other schools in the area.

The project is being funded and supported by boomsatsuma, a bristol based youth arts program, b-creative and the Arts Council, and we're working with various schools in the Bristol area, with around 100 kids. In March, the project will come to a close with a fantastic screening of the short films and awards ceremony for the best. Email me if you want to know more.

Apple Retail

Specialist

Being a Specialist at Apple is the perfect job for me during my studies. It improves my people skills massively and has the technology that I use in almost all of my skills right at the heart of the job. I'm not a sales-person, but a friendly person offering advice, helping people with technical issues, giving workshops to large groups, teaching kids how to use new technology and constantly working with an entire team, including store management on how to better run Apple Retail.

The Adventurists

Summer Intern

During the Summer of 2013 I worked as an Editor and in Social Media at The Adventurists. Although the company organise over 10 different types of adventures, I was working mostly on The Mongol Rally. The company has recently gotten sponsored by JVC America, so that they could promote their new Adixxion cameras. I organised and instructed a ton of teams on the rally on what to film with their free cameras from JVC, got them to send it back whilst they were on the go and then edited various videos that JVC would put on their website for marketing. The videos also ended up being streamed on their screen in Times Square, New York. As well as work for months on the videos, I was also part of the Social Media team, keeping everything up to date on various social media website such as Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.

Jellylegs Productions

Assistant Editor

During the Summer of 2011 I landed a fantastic role as Assistant Editor with Jellylegs for a brand new comedy for Sky One, The Café. Filmed in Weston-super-Mare, over the 4 months I worked with them I was on set with crew and actors, taking notes and then logging and then sound mixing the rushes from the previous days filming. It was shot on film, rather than digital so rushes were shipped overnight after being processed. I also created various promotional vides for Jellylegs themselves, including an environmental video and material for the wrap party at the end of filming.
