Social Media Manager

Cornell Unviersity Alumni Travel Program

As a student-athlete at an Ivy League institution, working hard is something I do every day. I am excellent at organizing my time and projects, as well as multitasking and staying focused. I am also passionate about learning: my education both inside and outside the classroom is one of my biggest priorities.

Cornell University Alumni Association Travel Program

Social Media Manager

A connection with a co-worker allowed me to follow my passions for travel and social media to manage the social media profiles for the Cornell Alumni Association Travel Program. Now I create and manage educational and fun posts for alumni to interact with on Social Media. I have also more than doubled the following for our Facebook page, with more and more people following every day! In addition, I work heavily with Microsoft Excel to create spreadsheets and organize data, as well as analyzing data from surveys. Multitasking is a part of my everyday work, as I often balance multiple projects at one time.

Cornell University

Bachelor of Arts, American Studies, Minors: International Relations, Russian

As someone who is passionate about a multitude of subjects and areas of study, finding something that is broad enough to allow me to continue an interdisciplinary education is very important to me. Struggling through all of my first year to determine a major, I finally had a breakthrough this year and decided to pursue a degree in American Studies with two minors in International Relations and Russian. My love of travel and international studies led me to taking Russian my first year at Cornell, a language that I have fallen in love with and intend to pursue throughout my career. By taking courses focused on both the United States and other countries internationally, I hope to gain insight into the way the two hemispheres interact, and the types of relationships that exist between the United States and other countries all over the globe.

Women's Varsity Track and Field

Cornell University, Short Sprinter

As a member of a highly successful Track and Field Program, my education at Cornell University has been greatly enhanced from my involvement on the team. My teamwork and communication skills have developed greatly from my first year and continue to do so. Balancing a rigorous training program that often takes three to four hours out of my day with my intense academic schedule has taught me how to manage my time, take initiative, and not be afraid to reach out for help. Working with the team has fostered great relationships not only with my teammates but with my coaches and alumni. Last year I was #9 All-Time at Cornell in the 100m dash with a time of 12.06. I also traveled with the team to both Indoor and Outdoor Championships, and qualified for ECACs in both the Indoor and Outdoor seasons.

Central Columbia High School

Valedictorian, National Honors Society President, PIAA Track & Field State Champion

In high school I was a very active student, involved in many athletic teams and leadership roles while maintaining my grades to become our class Valedictorian. As captain of two athletic teams I learned strong leadership and communication skills which allowed me to then be elected as President of our school's National Honors Society. I also became a Track and Field State Champion in the 4x100m relay team for Pennsylvania while getting 2nd, 4th, and 12th place finishes in my other three events of the meet.

Burger King

Cashier and Drive-Through Order Taker

Working at a fast-pace, customer-service based company as a Cashier and Drive-Through Order Taker gave me an education in itself. Interacting with customers, managing their complaints, as well as extreme multitasking taught me how to be focused on many things as once, while not letting any customer feel anything less than satisfied. This job also taught me the importance of time management, being on time, and always being active while on the job.
