Through providing instruction in a sophomore level humanities course , I effectively introduce students to key concepts and contributions within a broad area in humanities [Masterworks of Western Culture through The Modern. As an instructor, I embrace and support cultural diversity, diverse learning styles, and am committed to increasing student retention. In my course, I prepare students to utilize acquired knowledge and skills that allows them to fully contribute to and participate in a diverse multi-cultural society with the necessary tools to respectfully improve their lives and the lives of others I provide an exceptionally engaging, rewarding, respectful and safe learning environments that is conducive to facilitating a passion for life-long learning, preparing students for global participation and citizenship, local and global service, leadership, and academic achievement by building and enhancing the critical thinking, problem solving, and communication skills of the student.

I effectively introduced students to key anthropological practices, concepts, and contributions within society while embracing and supporting cultural diversity. I prepared students to fully contribute to and participate in a diverse multicultural society with the necessary knowledge and tools to respectfully improve their lives and the lives of others. I provided an exceptionally engaging, rewarding, respectful and safe learning environment that was conducive to facilitating a passion for life-long learning, preparing students for global participation and citizenship, local and global service, leadership, and academic achievement by building and enhancing the critical thinking, problem solving, and communication skills of the student. Specifically I equipped my students with an anthropological skill set with regards to the following:

o The four field approach to anthropology
o Academic dialogue and debate
o Analytical Writing
o Design and Conduct an extensive ethnographies
o Discuss major developments, physical and cultural, in human ancestry; primate observations with regards to behavior and the relationship to human behavior
o Identify most bones of the human body, and understand how they can be used to learn about past populations
o Conduct basic archaeological survey, excavation, and analysis
o Develop teamwork skills fundamental to anthropology and archaeology
