Working both as a skills specialist and a counselor was an incredible experience. I was able to take on a multitude of roles: teacher, coach, mentor, comforter, advocate, role model and more throughout each day at camp. Living and working on site provided an intense space where my best was constantly demanded in order to maintain the amazing standards of the Girl Scouts.
