Small Sort Supervisor
Manage 25 employees
Handle all small packages under 8lbs including envelopes
Ensure all packages are sorted to correct bins according to service level and locations.
Make sure all equipment is in good condition and in working order.
Input time cards according to sorting , bagging or debagging positions .
Keep good communication with manager and full time supervisors during the shift to manage flow of incoming work .
Giving feedback to employees when seen using at risk behavior .
Pre-tripping and post tripping my area to make sure no packages where left before shift and after shift .
Place Damages and overgoods in appropriate area to be taken to the clerk for inspection and re tape.
Be responsible for 23%-27% of the shifts total volume .
Review all missorted packages, attendance issues , safety issues, and damages with employees to eliminate reoccurrences .
Train employees on proper debagging , bagging and sorting methods
Outbound Supervisor (September 2012- March 2013)
Manage 7 employees
Train employees on loading methods
Manage flow of packages to be loaded into 3 destinations equal to 6 53 foot trailers .
Update percentages and meet pull times for trailers .
Train sorter in sorting methods
Pre trip and post trip my area for any packages left behind before and after shift.
Make sure area is productive according to volume/hrs .
Give feedback when employee is seen using correct or at risk job methods.
Communicate with feeders/ dispatch when trailers can be pulled/replaced .
Safety committee Supervisor (September 2012- 13)
Create a work area that supports safe by chance not by choice .
Conduct daily safe work method observations to ensure that employees are working safely .
