Dylan Kario

Dylan Kario

Software Engineer

I'm passionate about writing code that scaffolds creativity. Originally from LA, I recently graduated from Columbia. I live to help people tap into their talents.

Software Engineer

Levo is as committed to democratizing mentorship for their users as they are for their warm and dedicated team. I worked with JS, HTML, and CSS to make using Levo transparent, exciting, and easy, so you can focus on clarifying your own career path.

Columbia University

BA, Computer Science-Math, Jazz Studies

At Columbia, math taught me to appreciate harmony, computer science gave me the confidence to engineer my own innovation, architecture taught me to trust myself creatively, and music kept me rooted in interpersonal relationships and collaboration.

Text IQ

Frontend Engineer Intern

When I joined Text IQ, they were developing algorithms that would make lawyers' lives easier by speeding up tedious manual processes. My job was to design interfaces for those algorithms that were friendly enough for a lawyer to use. I taught myself enough C# and backend skills to architect an MVP within a month. I also built a developer tool for the team to fine tune their own algorithms. Both of those prototypes are now being developed into revenue-generating products.

UCLA Anderson, Alumni Relations

Frontend Engineer

I started out at Anderson as a social media assistant, and progressed to build web apps that help connect alumni. I interacted with alumni directly to help them find fellow alumni online. My largest role at Anderson is building and maintaining a digital edition of the alumni newsletter, Class Notes.

Safe House

Frontend Engineer

Safe House is where I cut my teeth as a web developer. As the sole engineer of a content creation company, I collaborated with filmmakers, editors, and founders to build online homes for their work. I first taught myself CSS by tweaking the company's Squarespace; three months later, I built them a new site completely from scratch. That site,, hosts their VICE-acquired webseries remake of Glenn O'Brien's TV Party.

Ba Gua

I've been studying Ba Gua—a Chinese martial art rooted in change—since I was 10, and received my second degree black belt in 2014. I've mentored students, ranging from kindergarteners to retirees, in self-defense, meditation, and self-improvement through physical activity. Ba Gua taught me how much I love working with children.

What i love

I've been playing jazz drums for 12 years.

Freelance web design

I make sites for creative friends.

Audiovisual performance

I use cameras to generate visuals and sounds.
