Observe and perform research to develop, apply and monitor analytical methods for biomarkers related to chronic disease. Provide accurate measurement of chronic disease biomarkers. Calibrate and evaluate the accuracy of current chronic disease biomarker tests such as blood lipid tests using appropriate statistical approaches. Apply analytical methods to assess the performance of clinical methods in patient care. Generate new population data and method performance surveillance data to better understand the factors affecting chronic disease biomarker testing.
