As an arcade assistant, my main responsibilities included:

• Tailoring my working style to meet the basic needs of customers and striving to exceed their expectations
• Adhering to company policies and procedures
• Maintaining a professional, approachable appearance
• Patrolling the arcade area
• Undertaking basic maintenance of arcade machinery
• Cash handling using Electronic Point of Sale (EPOS) systems
• Implementing sales techniques into general conversation with customers such as up-selling and cross-selling of the services and products offered throughout the company
• The ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging and noisy environment both under my own initiative as well as within a team
• Supporting my colleagues by offering advice and assistance where required as well as training new staff on various arcade machines and processes that take place within the arcade
• Offering advice to customers on arcade prized by making suggestions on products that may be of interest to them
• Ensuring that the arcade area is kept clean, tidy & presentable
• Taking on board and acting on feedback received from staff performance assessors and team leaders

Oakenhurst Aircraft Services Ltd

Work Experience Trainee

In 2009 I participated in a Trident Work Experience placement at Oakenhurst Aircraft Services Ltd. During my short time at Oakenhurst my rain responsibilities included assisting avionic technicians by:

• Disassembling avionic components that were beyond economic repair for parts
• Replacing a gauge on a piece of avionic testing equipment
• Ensuring that the workshop that I was in at the time was kept clean, tidy and organised

I acquired a basic understanding and appreciation of the key tasks and processes that take place within this industry by:

• Undertaking administration duties
• Observing staff in their day to day work in the various different departments which include; Stores, Radio, Radar, Electrical, Flight Instrument and Gyroscopic workshops.
