Smoothie Pete's Smoothies was a real life project for my Business Management class in high school. To make things fair and legitimate, a real life hiring agency was brought in to assign roles to each student. I was assigned be Marketing VP.
As the Marketing VP of SPS, I led a team of 5 people and was in charge of the company's publicity. We were responsible for selling "stocks and shares" of the company to school staff, students, and members of the community; advertising; conduct market research, etc.
In addition to these typical tasks,I gained another title: Co-CEO/Acting CEO. Out company's CEO was often absent so I was promoted to this position in his absence. I overlooked each department's functions and made sure they ran smoothly. When needed, I also pitched in to help with production.
Together, my team and I were able to set the company's record of sales and profits (and in the shortest amount of time). To this day, those records have not been met. At the end of the academic year, and project, I was awarded the title of "Most Valuable Employee".
