Head of People & Culture

Through recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and ongoing learning & development opportunities, I helped our team answer 3 essential questions:

1) what is my job?
2) how do I know if I'm succeeding?

At Skillshare, culture means making no compromises when it comes to finding the most excellent teammates to join us and by doing everything we can to ensure our team is succeeding.

In this role, I built the playbook for and executed on the following areas:

- Recruiting (tech & non-product)
- Interviewing & Hiring
- Onboarding
- Regular Feedback Cycles
- Ongoing Learning & Development
- Social Events

Recruitment Director

As a Recruitment Director, I created and managed an ambitious recruitment campaign to recruit more applicants than previous years at 8 schools across the Northeast. I was part of a selective sub-group of recruitment directors tasked with increasing team-wide efficiency and spending less money and less time on campus than other Recruitment Directors.

Some of my specific responsibilities included:
- Cultivating top students to join TFA
- Mobilizing alumni for recruitment efforts on campus
- Building relationships with student leaders/administrators/faculty
- Using data to define and meet ambitious goals that were aligned with larger organizational objectives
- Structuring and delegating projects to ensure timely completion by team members
- Managing extensive internal and external communications
- Participating in corps member selection and matriculation

I also managed 6 campus representatives to implement my recruitment strategies on 6 campuses.

In addition, I worked on our Learning and Development team for two years. I was the Lead Designer for the day-long campus rep training (200+ campus reps trained using these materials). I was also the Chair of the Campus Campaign Coordinator Professional Development Committee.
