As part of a very small and collaborative team, I worked in many different capacities and offered support to both the co-founders, the head of business development, and the director of communications and partnerships. I helped identify the business and marketing strategies, product goals, and high-level strategic angle in the local tech market. I was responsible for the ideation of the messaging and branding of both the product and the company, as well as the translation and expression of this vision across all departments and through all channels. In doing so, I conducted extensive market research and competitive analysis, while managing various projects and tasks as the second-in-command to the company's Chief Operating Officer.
Acted as receptionist and outreach coordinator for prospective business and other inquiries, filed expense reports, conducted a variety of research projects for the communications and business development teams as well as the company's CEO, assisted with international marketing campaigns, compiled business profiles and presentations, scheduled mailings and shipments, ran errands and other administrative tasks.
Assisted public programming associate with grand opening events for the museum. Coordinated vendor schedules and conducted vendor outreach. Conducted research projects, compiled multi-component mailings for high-volume memberships, sorted incoming mail.
Advised students interested in participating in community service and facilitated community service projects on weekly basis. Maintained office website and communications with local organizations. Oversaw and coordinated student project leaders and Community Service interns.
As an integral member of the marketing website operations team, I worked closely with the VP of marketing as well as the creative, development, and member services departments. In addition to serving as the executive assistant to the VP of marketing, I implemented strategies for conversion and communication improvements and software development.
Specific tasks included: conducted competitor research and consumer analysis, drafted marketing briefs, wrote copy, created product wireframes, acted as project manager to the creative and development teams to implement improvements, and organized company-wide events.
