Wilkes University

MFA, Creative Writing

Wilkes University's low-residency creative writing program has a special place in my heart. I worked with an incredible faculty of writers, as well as a cohort that became like a family, while learning about the finer points of the written word. Today, I use lessons from this program in my 9-5 work - awareness of audience, adjusting tone, writing with clarity, editing, and pro-level time management.

State University of New York College at Plattsburgh

BA, English

While at SUNY Plattsburgh, I majored in English with a concentration in writing, and double-minored in photography and graphic design. I had some fantastic opportunities here in the form of internships and top-notch faculty. I even got my first taste of teaching as a TA for an introductory photography class!
