First National Bank of Omaha
December 2011 — Present
I will be focused on helping build a management training program as well as recruiting for that program. Throughout this process I will also be continuing my college relationships with the Universities in the Midwest. In Fall of 2012 we will be starting to recruit for the Management Trainee Program that First National started back in 1961. The program kick off date will be in Spring 2013.
Support Business Unit work-force planning strategies by designing targeted talent acquisition plans and coordinating and conducting the legally compliant recruiting and hiring process for assigned roles across various divisions of FNNI. Develop a pipeline of talent through the sourcing of passive and active candidates whose talents, skills, experience and values, align with Business Units needs and leadership competencies. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with HR Business Partners, enterprise-wide middle and executive management representatives, local universities, technical training institutions and placement agencies to ensure an ongoing supply of qualified applicants.
Conduct screening interviews and consider applicants holistically across all open roles of similar complexity and level with the organization. Encourage alternative opportunities for qualified candidates. Participate in career fairs and community outreach events as necessary to promote First National and to identify and develop alternative channels of candidate acquisition.
First National Connect Board Member. This is our version of an Emerging Professionals Group at the Bank. Responsible for Membership and also helping at enterprise wide events.
