University of Phoenix Alumni Career Mentor

(Volunteer work)

From UoP Mentor program description:
Some mentees are students early in their degree programs — they can request a mentor in their first class — while others are alumni out in the work world looking to advance their careers. We find them an alumni mentor with the relevant career experience to answer their questions.

Those answers can include tips about resumés, interviewing and networking strategies, as well as industry trends, navigating the political environment at work and how to get ahead. Mentors even give guidance on how to dress for success.

Career

California Miramar University

Doctoral Candidate

Studying for my doctorate in Business Administration (DBA), with the added concentration in International Business. Although my dissertation topic continues to evolve, I am well underway with a topic that focuses on formal business decision process, which is a hybrid of: brainstorming, team building, Delphi-process (RAND corp.), and my own formula for making it all work! Feedback from the faculty thus far is that this is very intriguing and accomplishable. My current aim is to complete the program (including dissertation), near January 2016.
