June 2012 — Present
My role as Communications Advisor involves me contributing to Kea's social media platforms and rapidly growing Kea's network into a global community of New Zealanders and 'Friends of New Zealand'.
My current project has seen me undertake a design thinking process with other members of the Kea team, a process which has resulted in the launch of a new Kea website as well as an entry into the mobile space with the Kea app. The Kea app lets you find and message Kiwis and Friends of New Zealand anywhere in the world, as well as find Kiwi events and businesses near you. The app currently has 13,000+ users.
This project has been undertaken whilst continuing my role overseeing and delivering Kea's social media presence across LinkedIn, Twitter, Google+, Chinese social media sites Weibo and WeChat, and the 270,000+ strong Kea Facebook page. Kea's network has grown from 39,000, to a community of over 580,000 since I started.
I have also helped facilitate a rebrand of the World Class New Zealand network, and assisted in co-ordinating and organising the 2013, 2014 and 2015 Inspire series and World Class New Zealand Awards.
