Integral part of a close-knit, highly efficient case management team, providing one year of intensive case management services to HIV+ men & women exiting county jail. My responsibilities included: motivational interviewing; care plan development & implementation; client advocacy; linkage with medical & mental health care, housing, employment services, public benefits acquisition & advocacy; workshop design & facilitation; develop & maintain professional relationships with local law enforcement & social service providers; support clients in a variety of everyday activities, such as accompanying them to medical appointments, help filling out paperwork, dispute mediation, etc.; throughly & accurately document all client interactions, develop employee training manuals & help train new employees; negotiated with business partners to receive discounts of up to 60% on recurring essential purchases such as MUNI bus fare tokens for our clients.


Liberation Prison Project

Office Closure Coordinator

Coordinated & oversaw the out-of-state relocation of our SF office. Screened & processed all incoming inmate correspondence, forwarding them to the appropriate worldwide staff member or volunteer. Dissolved all San Francisco based business relationships & accounts. Acted as an experienced Dharma & Meditation teacher for prisoner clients through written correspondence. Packed & shipped all equipment & files across country.

Robert Alexander Memorial Hospice

Pastoral Care Service Provider

Provided end-of-life, palliative & spiritual care to longterm hospital & hospice patients. Assisted in providing the day-to-day care of patients, such as bathing, feeding, & cleaning. Offered social & spiritual support to patients as the prepared themselves to die p, including sitting with them, uninterrupted, during their last 72 hours of life (vigil). Assisted Hospice staff cleaning and processing the remains of the recently deceased.
