Developer Evangelist - Startup

Drive Microsoft platform and tool adoption and BizSpark program enrollment among startups

Own overall Startup partner satisfaction with Microsoft and Microsoft technologies and tools

Work with incubators and serve as a technical mentor to startups as part of their programs

Engage senior business and technical decision makers at startups, articulate the business and technical value of Microsoft platforms and tools, develop startup-specific value propositions, and identify creative business opportunities for those startups

Act as a trusted advisor between local startups and Microsoft as it relates to emerging developer tools and platform technologies

Identify and cultivate productive relationships with startup ecosystem influencers, including press and analysts when appropriate, and create high quality evidence to further drive excitement and reach in the startup ecosystem

Work with Microsoft Marketing and Strategic Emerging Business Team to execute breadth strategies with startups and reach startups through their ecosystems in Silicon Valley.


Developer Evangelist

FY16 (July 2015 - present)
NorCal Audience Evangelism Lead
* Coordinate the team’s effort at events and streamline team reporting
* Lead in organizing influncer mixers and the Microsoft Reactor opening celebration
* Regular engagement and newsletters to the MSPs & MVPs
* Work with across teams to create best practices

FIRST Robotics Evangelism Lead
*Work with groups across Microsoft to support FIRST robotics and to help students create better robots through Microsoft technology.

FY15 (July 2014-June 2015)
US Office 365 developer evangelism lead
*Content lead for the O365 camps in the US, driving much more senior resources. Personally delivered seven of the camps and covered for another resource who was out on leave.
*Also, volunteered to stand in for the 1st ever Office Developer Camp held in Puerto Rico, due to speaker illness.

International Women's Hackathon lead
*Led the development and execution of the International Women’s Hackathon which reached over 400 women (both industry and collegiate) through 12 events producing over 75 hacks in the US.

*Provided mentoring and guidance for all of the evangelism college hires across businesses helping them onboard, become productive, and provide the support they needed to achieve success.
*After being one of the first TEs to pass an Azure certification, I made my curated training material available to the rest of organization (used by a number of evangelists to pass their Azure certifications).

FY14 (July 2013-June 2014)

* Organized and spoke at over 6 events
* Total Reach: 1497 professionals, 1546 students, 770 women

Promoted Developer Programs at every event
* Reached 1283 developers with event codes
