Oversee human resource functions, and provide HR advice to management in an organization with 40 employees.

• Review employment applications and select applicants for interviews; conduct interviews and reference checks; hire new employees.
• Deliver initial training for all new staff, review employee welcome package, and orient staff to the property and to all policies and procedures.
• Assist store manager with ongoing staff training; provide additional training as necessary.
• Manage payroll system, including verifying staff hours (regular, overtime, and statutory holiday), entering deductions, verifying and entering holiday time and pay, and preparing and entering
termination documents including records of employment.
• Complete Workers Compensation Board forms.
• Maintain employee records and files.
