I aid the Office Manager in maintaining a functioning, focused office for the Austin Film Festival. My duties include answering phone calls, distributing mail, taking lunch orders, and other general office activities. As an Office Management Intern I am able to work closely with multiple departments in the festival, so I have a thorough understanding of the work that AFF does.

Aided with Front-Of-House duties at concerts with an average attendance of 1000 people. Coordinated team of 30+ volunteers, including scheduling duties, maintaining communication and answering relevant questions regarding positions. Maintained communication with building and festival personnel and assisted with backstage duties before, during and after concerts to ensure smooth performances. Assisted with artist scheduling and management for over 300 artists, including Storm Large and Canadian Brass.

Drafted press releases for new singles, album releases and upcoming gigs and tours for bands signed to Reekus Records. Created Facebook ads with a total reach of 30,000+ people regarding album releases and upcoming events. Designed CD faces, promotional posters and Facebook and Twitter banners and profile photos. Maintained list of 200+ Irish and International media outlets for press releases.

Called prospective students to talk about the University, developed cold-calling skills. Provided an opportunity for prospective students to talk to a current student, and have their questions answered from a student’s perspective. Co-manager of the program from 2012-2013, supervised 12 callers, provided feedback on calls, answered relevant questions, set daily objectives; prospective student contacts exceeded 35,000 calls for the year. Aided in hiring process for the 2012-2013 year, assisted in training and conducted reviews of callers throughout the year.
Wulapalooza Organizing Committee

Planned an annual earth, art and music festival, attended by 2,000 students and community members. Organized monetary and in-kind donations for food and beverage services by soliciting local breweries and class councils, for a total of $2,000 in donations, and oversaw a committee that generated $400 in revenue annually. Negotiated with Bon Appetit catering company to allow the first ever off-campus food providers on Willamette University for a student-led event.

Intern to the Mayor

Worked directly with the mayor to organize and implement her goal of increasing agricultural business in Salem. Contacted 20 business owners and arranged meetings with the mayor to discuss her ideas, attended meetings and maintained reference binder of all meeting notes. Coordinated a large group meeting of over 15 businesses and the mayor to discuss ideas at large.
