Promoted to Group Block Supervisor to streamline the group management process of room blocks ranging in size from 2-100,000 rooms on peak night.
Closely monitors all group block activity and adjusts strategies accordingly. Evaluate booking patterns to identify trends or potential challenges with room blocks.
Provide Coordinators with on-going feedback regarding room blocks, booking history, etc.
Ensures that all VIP groups/requests are handled appropriately.
Provides employees with coaching and counseling as needed to achieve performance objectives and reach fullest potential.
Create, revise and implement Department and Team procedures.
Assist in developing a sales goal action plan to generate business to support annual financial goals.
Operate an onsite desk to serve exhibitors, attendees, and clients requiring housing assistance. Available 24/7 for the duration of tradeshow/convention.
Proficient with Microsoft Office and Expobook, a real-time internet-based reservation system.
Other Responsibilities include: processing reservations by phone and by fax/email, utilize marketing skills to sell hotel properties to attendees and exhibitors, management of waitlists and rooming lists, actively participate in meetings of the Operations & Closeout Team.
