Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine - Carolinas Campus

Student Services Coordinator

My passion for working with people, students in particular, to help realize their passions and potentials led me to this job. I work with the student organizations, which correspond with different fields of medicine, to help plan educational and volunteer events for members of the school and our community. Our office is the support system to help the students have a fulfilling and fun medical school experience. I plan events for the students from the celebration after they receive their first white coat until they graduate as doctors.

C. Distinctive Eyewear

Optometric Assistant & Relationship Manager

I served as the liaison between patients and the doctor including authorizing insurance and making follow up appointments. I further developed customer service skills through the fitting and sale of glasses to patients based on their specific vision needs.

Coastal Endodontics, LLC

Assistant Office Manager, Head of Marketing

As the assistant office manager my duties included scheduling appointments with dental offices and patients, calling insurance companies to learn more about a patient’s coverage prior to the appointment and applying this information to the costs of services that would be rendered. I served as the main point of contact for patients and I also scheduled lunches and delivered gift baskets for other dental offices to maintain relations and boost referrals. Most recently I created the office website and FaceBook page and improved the company's SEO in order to better reach potential patients.

Liberty University

Master of Arts - Teaching, Elementary Education

While working full time, I am pursuing my Master of Arts in Teaching, Elementary Education.

Wofford College

Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), Finance

Going into Wofford I didn't know what I wanted to study or who I wanted to be, but the beauty of the liberal arts education is that I was able to pursue anything I found fascinating and still relate it back to my finance major. Outside of the classroom I developed a love for planning events, specifically philanthropy events and marketing those events to every student on campus. I hope to be able to combine the business world with my creative side for a fulfilling career.

The Studio of Dance

Teacher Assistant

As a teacher assistant it was my responsibility to encourage the participation of the younger dancers. I was there to make sure that all educational needs of the students were being met and that no child was unsure of their part in a dance. I served as a mentor to the younger students in both dance and their personal lives.
