Provide intensive and targeted job search assistance to student and alumni groups for specific employer recruiting events, as well as general career advising to University of Maryland University College’s (UMUC) non-traditional students and alumni.
Intensive job search preparation: work closely with the employer relations team and academic program directors to identify and prepare target groups of students and alumni for specific employer hiring events; oversee and deliver intensive resume review and subsequent interview preparation
Career Advising: provide career counseling online, by telephone, and in person for UMUC students and alumni; administering and interpreting career assessment inventories when appropriate; providing assistance to students and alumni with career planning, resume writing, interview techniques, internships, and job search skills
Educational Programming: assist with the planning and execution of career-related virtual and face to face workshops, seminars and networking events to meet the needs of UMUC students and alumni
Employer Relations: assist in establishing and maintaining employer relationships; assist in the organization of virtual and face-to-face job fairs, other networking events, and the maintenance of the online jobs database
