Owner passed away during two week notice to join this team. This was an interesting accounting challenge. Company billings, payables and collections in disarray and under control of CPAs staff who tried to reconcile. I succeed in performing subcontractor, vendor and client reconciliations, increased revenue due to invoicing to owner specifications and improved internal controls.
Responsible for all accounting functions which included in-house payroll, new hires, benefits administration, month-end close, job cost variances, journal entries, financial statement preparation and coordination with auditors. Company closed shortly after new ownership.
