My Greatest Achievement

I had a craniotomy in February 2014 to remove a brain tumor. I was terrified, but so blessed and received so much support from my family and friends during this time. I never imagined I could handle a life-changing situation like this so well, but I did. It increased my faith and pushed me to take action on my future goals.

I started as an intern and worked my way up to a managerial position. This job has certainly been a stepping stone and a place of growth for me straight out of college. More than that, I had the courage to ask leadership about starting a wellness program, my true passion. I have no budget for it but knowing that I created my position makes coming into work worth while. I am so blessed.

I fell in love with History at Dartmouth, learning about stories of other peoples throughout time. But more than that, I fell in love with dance in a new and uninhibited way. Co-leading a hip-hop dance group was my chance to be creative and step outside of my role as a student writing papers. All I had to do was listen to the music, allow it to fill me, and be inspired.
