Colby College Museum of Art

Docent

One of my favorite parts of being a Docent at the Colby College Museum of Art was working with children and members of the Waterville Community during "Community Day." I also assisted in Waterville at Common Street Art classes and despite not majoring in art, I assisted in curating an exhibit on James McNeill Whistler.

Career

PEQUOD

I absolutely loved working on Pequod, Colby's literature and art magazine. I started off submitting work, then became a member of the art and writing committees and eventually became Editor-In-Chief.

Colby College

BA, English; Creative Writing

My four years at Colby were fantastic. If I wasn't on the quad writing, I spent the rest of my time at Colby volunteering, mostly at the Mid- Maine Homeless Shelter, with Colby Cares about Kids and was in charge of a program called Reading Poetry in the Schools.
