Ensure that all articles are identified with a customers name, number or mark. Sorting articles according to colour, fabric and cleaning treatment. Loading and unloading of industrial washing/drying machines. Monitor the computerised wash/dry system; operate special pressing and ironing machines. Fold, count, stack and package articles for delivery and deliver to location.

Assist head chefs in preparing and sorting food, washing dishes and utensils and cleaning of the work areas. Ensure kitchen and equipment is hygienic and functional. Handle, sort and distribute food items. Wash, peel, chop, cut and cook food-stuffs and help to prepare salads, desserts and other food that is instructed. Due to the small establishment I had the opportunities to be more involved in cooking side of the kitchen.

Clean and maintain rooms, making of beds daily and changing bed linen. Vacuum carpets and upholstery. Make sure the televisions, radios, lights, air-conditioning and heating equipment are in working order. Reporting to manager articles left behind by guest, damage to rooms and any items which appear to have been stolen.
