Policy Analyst

• Design and lead a learning community that includes delivery mechanisms and sequencing of activities for states that build on lessons learned from the Work Support Strategies (WSS) initiative
• Provide technical assistance to the participants of the WSS learning community and facilitate peer collaboration through activities such as convenings, webinars, and conference calls
• Oversee analyses and distill lessons as they emerge from the WSS learning community to develop federal and state policy recommendations
• Create opportunities for policy change by developing and leading short and long term strategies in a substantive issue area that influence the approach and practice of thought leaders and policymakers
• Monitor and respond to state and federal legislative and regulatory activities and provide technical assistance on state options for advocates and policymakers
• Write reports, briefs, presentations, and web content to inform diverse audiences about key ideas and lessons
• Collaborate with team members and colleagues in the organization on initiatives, including serving as the co-chair on the racial equity team
• Manage active grant funded projects including developing and meeting deliverables, budget management, and fulfilling reporting requirements and generate concepts for new grant funded work
• Mentor and supervise the work of junior staff within the Income and Work Supports team
