Working in the lab of Dr. Norann Zaghloul as a technician, I have to find solutions to technical problems, learn new methods and teach others. More practically, I do experiments and use zebrafish as a model organism to form hypothesis and turn questions into answers. I've been lucky to have people around me who give me the freedom and respect to pursue my own ideas.

By land or by air

Traveling is my passion. To date I've visited over 50 countries and 300 cities throughout the world. It's challenging to pick favorites, but some of my best trips have included taking a train (with stops) from Istanbul to London, hiking in Peru, seeing the pyramids of Egypt, walking the Great Wall of China, and making my way through Brazil from Iguazu Falls to Rio de Janeiro.

I blog about it here
