Carlos Sierra served as the National Field Director for the Gary Johnson for President Campaign in 2016. Carlos oversaw ballot access in all 50 states and D.C., all advocacy groups and coalitions, field and game in all 50 states, volunteers, field staff, and distribution of merchandise. He also planned all political rallies and events for Governors Johnson and Weld.

Committee to Defeat Sheriff Joe Arpaio

Carlos Sierra served as the co-chairman and campaign manager to the Citizens for Professional Law Enforcement Committee in Maricopa County, Arizona. This committee served as the official “Anti-Sheriff Arpaio Campaign Committee.” The 2012 election for Maricopa Sheriff was the closest race of Sheriff Arpaio’s career, garnering only 50.66% of the vote.

In the almost decade long career with Senator John McCain, Carlos Sierra handled community outreach for Arizona and was McCain's only staffer to work in his Tucson, Tempe, Phoenix, Washington, and campaign offices. Carlos assisted in both presidential campaigns and ultimately served as the SW Coalitions Director for McCain-Palin, before returning to the Senate office.

Carlos Sierra served as the national political and field director for Draft Biden. Carlos oversaw political endorsements from elected officials at the federal, state, and local levels of government; he oversaw all field staff and volunteers in all 50 states; and served as an advisor to the Executive Director.

Carlos Sierra, along with Governor Buddy Roemer, is the co-founder of The Reform Project (TRP). TRP was established after Governor Roemer’s presidential campaign to inform and educate the public on the corrupting influence of money in our political system.

Oscar Leeser for Mayor

General Consultant

Carlos Sierra served as the general consultant, strategist and digital strategist for the mayoral campaign of first-time candidate Oscar Leeser. In an 8-person primary, Leeser received almost 50% of the vote, almost avoiding a runoff. In the runoff, Leeser finished with nearly 75% of the vote, making it the widest margin of victory for any competitive El Paso mayoral race ever.

Buddy Roemer for President

Carlos Sierra served as the national campaign manager to the Buddy Roemer for President Campaign, the youngest manager of the 2012 cycle. Governor Roemer was a four time Congressman and one term Governor from Louisiana who ran on a pro-campaign finance reform and anti-corruption platform.
