Develop, maintain, and monitor an operating budget over $1.5M; ensure budget is within 90-110% on overall revenue and overall expenditures at state fiscal year end.
Responsible for supervisory duties including, but not limited to, hiring and selection, developing performance plans, training, conducting performance appraisals, planning and directing their work, approving leave, and taking disciplinary action as appropriate.
Reconstituted STD Program integrating both the clinical and field operations aspects that have been under separate managers for over 10 years.
Implemented provision of STD preventable diseases like HPV and Hepatitis B in the clinic and at outreach events.
Monitor and evaluates program’s performance to ensure the program’s quality of service and standards are met or exceeded.
Increased number of patients served at outreach events between 2014-15 and 2015-26 by 20% (from 1,660 to 2,100).
Created or renewed five memorandum of agreements with community-based organizations that have expanded STI testing throughout the community.
Interact with media (TV, written press, and radio) on a variety of public health subjects from STDs to Point of Dispensing and Immunizations in English and Spanish.
Present information to diverse size and type of audiences; have presented to over 250 people, achieving an average instructor’s effective score of 4.6.
Implemented use of the Incident Command System (ICS) structure and briefing packet for outreach events that has now been adopted in different variations across the organization.
Active member of the Strategic Planning Process Committee since 2011.
Spearheaded STD on Wheels quality improvement project resulting in a Prudential Productivity Award Certificate of Commendation.
Facilitated Rapid Improvement Projects in the STD Clinic, SCC Lab and Nutrition’s division and DOH-directed QI projects of Healthiest Weight Florida with Community Health and Improving Breastfeeding rates with Nutrition.
